Traveling from New York to spend their honeymoon in Austria, Colleen and Joe contacted me and asked if I could do a post-wedding photo shoot in Salzburg. We arranged to meet up in Vienna over some drinks and I felt comfortable right away with their company.
It is sometimes difficult to get around being surrounded by tourists but luckily for us, as we took a stroll around the old town, we still found some secret spots void of people. Because Salzburg is such a photogenic city in any time of the year, it was a perfect autumn day to take pictures of both of them. Goofing around, making them dance to their wedding song in the background, getting up close by chatting them up, I let the couple be themselves to capture them as naturally as possible without giving too much instructions and I always find it the best way to break the ice.
Despite being based in Vienna, it always brings me pleasure to travel back to Salzburg. Capturing these moments with this lovely couple was definitely worth the time and effort.
